Sukhvinder Bhajal, M.D.
Visalia, California
Cardiology
In 2017 it was noticed that Bhajal was listed as Board Certified in Cardiology within the self reporting section of a California consumer's information page for Bhajal. Upon checking on the certification at the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABMI) site (ABIM.org) it was discovered that his certification had lapsed, he was no longer certified. This discrpancy lasted into 2022, dispite notifing the Medical Board of California (MBCA) and his attorney in 2017. After complaining to journalists in 2023, the false designation was finally changed on the CA consumer affairs site. In 2023 in response to interrogatories, under oath, Bhajal, with his attorney backing, claimed to be board certified. After providing the attorney with the apropriate internet sites, a revised response was submitted denying certification, but blaming covid for the delayed recertification. In 2023 or 2024 Bhajal finally renewed his board certification. On October 14, 2022, Bhajal was issued a citation from the California Medical Board after failing to provide documentation of completed CMEs. After requesting the medial records of my deceased father, Bhajal refused to provide the ECG records that were stored at Boston Scientific, telling me to get an attorney to get them. In court, Bhajal signed, under penalty of perjury, that Boston Scientific did not have such records and even if they did he could not get them. After providing the court with public documents that maintaining such records was a service that Boston Scientific provides, and Boston Scientific testimony that Bhajal's office had repeatedly accessed the records of my father at Boston Scientific, Bhajal acknowledged that he could get records from them. |
